From an early age Jessica’s niche for music was evident, and fostered by her mother at home. She started formal vocal and piano training at the age of 11 under Beth Fox, and began composing and arranging on the piano as a at the age of fifteen. She was an active participant in classical and composition competitions and festivals, receiving a variety of recognitions and awards on a State and National level.
She studied piano pedagogy at Northland International University, and obtained classical piano performance through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada in 2010. Her innate keen ear and love for diversity have expanded her skills and opportunities into a variety of genres and cultural traditions, including theater, sacred, gospel, jazz, pop. After her first album release “Grace Notes” in 2016, Jessica focused her writings to develop her niche in improvisational music and modern classical. She enjoys sharing the joy of music as a soloist, collaborator, and instructor for piano, voice, and flute in individual and small group settings.
